There is no one in the universe like you. Your skill sets, character traits, and talents are unique. We all have our strengths and weaknesses, but your inner power lies in giving your attention to your strengths only! Imagine telling Picasso that to excel at painting he must first master math and calculus! Or telling Einstein that he first needs to master painting before devoting himself to the laws of physics! Ridiculous, right? Picasso and Einstein were so good at what they did that what they weren’t good at didn’t matter! It’s the same for everyone else. We all have our own unique strengths and the more we focus on them the more we can excel in life. I refuse to focus on my weaknesses because I know it will only discourage me and leave me pessimistic. Why focus on what I can’t do well when I can just as easily focus on what I can? I encourage you to do the same.

Your goals are the big picture, the direction you are heading in life. But you can only accomplish these goals through the little things you do every day. Don’t lose sight of this. Just as you must pay attention to the macro elements of your career you must also pay attention to the micro elements that allow the macro ones to develop. When you focus on your life plan, give attention to daily activities, quarterly goals, and annual goals. This way you’ll stay focused not only on where you’re going, but exactly on how you’re getting there as well!

Be Extraordinary!
Whatever it is that you do, make it extraordinary! Make it your signature item. Think about that – signature. Do something in a way that you’d be happy to sign your name on it! Something you can proudly claim to have done.

Do Unto Others…
Just as you are special, so is the next person. Always think of the other person as dear to you – a sibling or a close friend. When you interact with someone, consider how both of you might benefit from the actions you take. This is especially true when you are dealing with a client. As a rental agent in Manhattan, there will be times when your integrity will be put to the test. Always focus on the long term! Put yourself in the other person’s shoes. Or imagine how you would want your mother or sister treated in a similar situation. Whenever in doubt, follow this: “Doing the right thing is not important, doing the kind thing is. The kind thing always includes the right thing.” Let that be your guiding light.

The Gift of Your Potential
When you were born, God (Nature, the Radiant Is, Whomever you believe in) said to you, “Your POTENTIAL is my gift to you. What you do with that potential is your gift back to me.”

Let me tell you, today as you read this, you are much more qualified than I was when I joined real estate. Not only was I $46,000 in debt, but I did not have a book or guide to show me what to expect and what to do. You hold in your hand a tool that can substantially increase the level of your success in this business. If you want to succeed as a rental agent, combine the right tools and techniques with your own incomparable special-ness, and you WILL generate the success you deserve!

We Live in an Abundant World
This is an “abundant world.” There is enough for everyone. The Universe has enough resources to make all of us rich and successful. You just need to stand up and claim your success. Even when the economy is slow, unemployment is high, and recession is looming there is enough to go around. If you want to succeed then the abundance in the world will give you every opportunity to do so.

You have been blessed with imagination and creativity. These two qualities can do amazing things for you if you apply them to your work! Always evaluate your actions. Look at the actions you are taking and see how they are impacting the results you want. If you are not satisfied with your results, change course. Try something different. There is always a way! By learning new and better ways of doing things, unbelievable things will begin to happen! Do not be afraid; walk the road no one has walked before.

Yes! Life will place brick walls in front of you, but if you believe in yourself, if you use your creativity and imagination, you will find a way around it. Believe in yourself always! You are special.
