Success!

How do you define success?

Success is the continuous journey towards the achievement of pre-determined worth while goals. It’s not just the process of setting goals but that is critical but the achievement of them as that matters. The most important thing to remember about them is when setting multiple goals is to have a balance among them.

Try to limit them to a number that is doable. One of the key advantages of goal setting is their power to help you stay positive in a negative environment.

Your goals should be better than your best, but believable. If the most you have ever made is only $50000. Then $100000 or $120000 is a realistic and believable goal. Setting your sights on $500000 or $1 million is not realistic. Goals also must be clearly defined.

There are two types of goals:

Short term goals that are no longer than 90 days.

Long term goals that can be the blue print of your lifetime.

Begin by outlining a clearly defined picture of what you want for the next 20 years. Set long term goals to live by achieving total fulfillment in 6 major areas of your life.

They are:

    Physical
    Mental
    Emotional
    Financial
    Spiritual
    Legacy

Success is different for different people, so define what success means to you.

Some great questions to ask yourself are:

Who are the people in my life that I want to achieve for?
What do I want to own?
What will I invest my time doing?

My first year as a rental agent I decided to do $44000 my first year. Then 3-4 months into my career I went to a one day seminar given by Tom Hopkins and changed it to $120000. Fortunately, I ended my first year doing $126223. I believe for a new agent, that is a realistic and achievable goal.

This article is attributed to Tom Hopkins work book that was given to me at the seminar I attended in August of 2011. I have customized it for rental agents. I encourage everyone to go to Tom Hopkins boot camp seminar in Scottsdale, AZ held once a year. It will change your life. At the very least, read his book, “How to master the art of selling!”
