Responsibility! The stuff Champions are Made of!
admin

One trait that separates the Champion agents is they believe, “If it is to be, it’s up to me!” They take responsibility. If something has to change, it must be them and their choices. They are a rare breed. Rare in the sense that less than 5% of people take responsibility. Why is America where the majority seek work from others? Why do 50% of Americans over 50 have less than $2000 to their name? In a sense it’s lack of responsibility. In a CNNMoney article on August 11, 2011 the headline said, “Most Americans can’t afford a $1000 emergency expense.” It went further to say that a majority, 64%, of Americans don’t have enough cash on hand to handle a $1000 emergency. In a sense it’s lack of responsibility. I believe you are the one who takes responsibility.

I struggle with responsibility myself. I wake up every morning where the mattress wants to be stronger than the mind. Where am I going with this and how does it relate to a rental agent? Simple! If you want to make $100000 or $250000, you got to do it.
You can take a horse to the water, but you can’t make it drink the water.

You can give the rental agent every tool in the book, but it’s up to the agent if he or she wants to use it or not.

The sooner you accept responsibility for everything in your life, the sooner success will begin to come to you. The harder you are on yourself, the easier life will be on you, the easier you are on yourself, the harder life will be on you. That is something to think about.

It’s not someone else’s problem, it’s your problem. If not, life would not have put it there for you. Life is the best teacher you can have. It is relentless in it’s pursuit to teach you.

For a good part of my life I was challenged by integrity. I liked to cut corners and do it the easy way. It never works. Now I try to be the best I can be and occasionally slip. But things have gotten much easier because I do not think about myself but the clients interest.

It’s has not been easy being responsible, but it is the only way. Look at yourself and your circumstances. Where are you in life? The only way forward that would deliver happiness and success along the way is the responsible path.

I’ve lost $200000 gambling over the past 20 years! Guess what, life was relentless in teaching me how difficult it can make my life if I did not quit. And sure, life was difficult and painful. Only when I took responsibility did it make things easy for me. Only when I quit did it released me for from the pain associated with gambling. It was a tough battle, but responsibility won. I still struggle in many areas on a daily basis. I only wish that I wake up every morning and pray for the strength of being a responsible person doing my very best. I wish for every agent to be responsible and remember, “If it is to be, it is up to me!”
