I was fortunate enough to attend Tom Hopkins seminar at Scottsdale, AZ, a few days ago. What absolutely amazed me was not that I attended the seminar, but that not a single rental agent from New York was there.

Let’s see if I needed to go to the seminar. I made a total of $250000 in commissions in May, June and July of this year. I’m generally acknowledged as America’s number one rental agent. Yet, 100% I felt I needed to go there if I were to improve myself and get to the next level. Did the 4 day, full day boot camp help? Absolutely! The skills I learned there will impact my success and performance for years to come.

However, here is the sad ending to the story…….I have an agent who did less than 6 deals in the last 3 months. Did this agent go to the seminar? No! Because her rational was that it was to expensive. It did not make sense to me at all. Here was an agent who could benefit so much more. Here was an agent who would have increased her income by at least 50% to a 100% per month. Here was someone whose investment would have paid off within two weeks of arriving back. Yet, she choose not to go.

The more you learn, the more you earn. There are no two ways about it. Matter of fact if Amercia’s number one sales person is willing to teach me all his secrets why would I ever say no to that?

If you are serious about becoming a Top agent then invest in yourself. Invest in your education. Invest in enhancing your sales craft.
